Under 3's

The under 3’s area is split into 2 groups, enabling our staff to support and care for children at different ages, stages and abilities.

Babies

Our baby room is designed to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for your little one. Our baby room is a comfortable and warm atmosphere with accessible age appropriate resources to help promote learning and development.

We provide a separate sleep room, equipped with comfortable and safe cots allowing our babies a peaceful and calming environment to get a restful sleep. We have a designated changing area, a separate garden area and sensory room for your baby to explore.

We have a team of highly trained and experienced staff who will provide your baby with the care and attention they need and deserve. Our staff will also work with you to create a personalised daily routine to help your baby feel safe and secure following a home from home routine as much as we can. We work with parents to ensure the settling process of every child runs smoothly, providing additional care where needed.

We have weekly sensory sessions from an outside professional provider, which we continue throughout the week, sensory activities are beneficial for babies because they help to develop and strengthen their sense of touch, sight, hearing, taste, and smell. These activities can help to improve their cognitive, emotional, and social development. Sensory activities can also aid in the development of fine and gross motor skills, and they can be a fun and engaging way for babies to explore and learn about their environment. Additionally, sensory activities can help to calm and soothe babies, which can be especially beneficial for those who are easily overstimulated or fussy.

The babies have varied sensory opportunities and experiences, both indoors and outdoors, to develop their independent thinking. Treasure baskets and heuristic play (collections of everyday objects with lots of scope for imaginative play and problem solving) are based in the rooms for the child’s development in all areas.

We understand the importance of nutrition for your baby’s growth, that’s why we provide healthy and nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day, we will work with parents throughout the weaning process and will support where we can, updating routines where necessary and providing daily updates on feeds, meals, snacks, nappy changes and activities via a parent portal app.

Once your child is moving around confidently, we will start to transition them gradually into our toddler’s room, updating parents throughout the process.

The large space allow the babies and toddlers to be in separate rooms, or together to learn from each other.
